It was awe-inspiring to see what it could do. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. They encouraged her not to pursue music solely for fun or as a means of development but instead, she was encouraged to explore it. The Aksnes family advised her to compose. As well as Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. To counter her mother's suggestion that people ought not to aim to become famous with her songwriting, but instead be aware of the significance of them and the impact they have on society. The piano was first played by her when she was just six and was writing her first song by the time she was nine. Her family didn't have any idea until she was fourteen. Aurora did not have a set goal. She says she just likes to compose music. For her, the music she composes is the way that she feels everything.
